Our Platform

Transparency

Public Engagement

Accountability

We believe in open government and intend to make everything possible publicly available, including ourselves via email.  All pertinent documents dealing with district contracts or projects - both current and prospective - will be available.  We will adhere to the Colorado Open Records Act and Sunshine laws, erring on the side of releasing information rather than withholding.  Votes on matters will be taken only after there has been clear notice to the public with a full disclosure of information and opportunity for public review, comment, and questions.

Accountability

Public Engagement

Accountability

Through our efforts we have forced the district's hand into recording public meetings, but the district has not made these recordings available.  This prevents the public from learning what was discussed during the meeting if they couldn't attend live.  We will put these recordings online so you can listen on your own time.  If we fail to uphold our commitment to you, we will own our lapse and do everything we can to earn back your trust.  All Board actions will be fully communicated to the public.

Public Engagement

We will end the current practice of making decisions based on materials never made public.  This practice keeps the public in the dark and prevents the contribution of useful feedback prior to board decisions.  Board meetings will be announced in a variety of ways at least three business days in advance of the meeting with a full agenda and packet.  We will provide for robust periods of public feedback at all meetings.

Integrity

Priorities

Public Engagement

We want to be good stewards of our community tax dollars.  We will implement the industry-standard minimum of 3 contract bids before selection to eliminate any suspicion of cronyism or conflict of interest.  We commit to a regular review of all contracts with district contractors to ensure taxpayers are receiving fair and reasonable prices and are in fact receiving the products and services contracted for.  We pledge to have an ethics policy all Board members will be required to adhere to as well as publicly disclosed statements of financial interests.

Priorities

Our vision is a Roxborough Village that instills a caring and compassionate small town feel.  We will focus on what is best for our community and protect its beautiful surroundings, resources, parks, open spaces, and trails for the enjoyment of both today's and future generations.

Priorities

Priorities

Priorities

1.    Let’s repair or replace our existing amenities before embarking on new projects.  Many are outdated, in need of repair, or present safety hazards.  We pledge to correct these deficiencies in a prudent manner.

2.    Beautify our parks and open spaces to showcase our community’s natural beauty and splendor.

3.    Engage and energize the community.  Develop and use various means to communicate, inform and encourage community involvement in the district to ensure all voices are welcome and heard.

4.    New projects will only be considered after we have a plan implemented to fixed what is broken and with the principle of “Do No Harm”.  We won't use historical assumptions or outdated surveys to drive our path forward.
